Stephen Malinowski uses his love and knowledge of music to create mesmerizing videos on YouTube. He takes recordings of classical music and adds shapes, colors, and movement to help our eyes see what our ears are hearing, and help our ears hear things we might not have before. In music class, we follow the same expectations as we do in all classrooms, with some extra expectations about listening to and playing music. Students are recognized for following the expectations individually and as a group, by the teacher and by each other. In many music class periods, we take time for the students to give compliments to each other about who they saw setting a really great example, and how those children were following expectations!
